Editorial standards

Rank cannot be bought. Sponsored placements (when they exist) are clearly labeled and live in dedicated sponsored slots, never inside the editorial Top 5. No business has ever paid us to be ranked higher and no business ever will.

We do not copy review text from review platforms or social channels. No screenshots, no excerpts, no rehosted reviews. If you see a quote on this site, it is either from a public press source we cite, an interview we conducted, or a verified owner statement.

We never invent praise or criticism. If a sentence is in quotes, it came from a real, attributable source. If we describe what locals say about a place, we describe it in our own paraphrased words, drawn from aggregated themes, and we say so.

When we summarize sentiment ("locals love the patio," "service has slipped recently"), those are our paraphrases of patterns we saw across many independent voices. We do not attribute them to specific people and we do not pretend they are quotes.

Every business's composite score is built from five weighted factors. The weights are published on /how-we-rank. The category-mean prior, the confidence math, and the freshness penalty are explained in plain English. Nothing is hidden.

If you own or operate a business listed here, you can claim your profile. Claimed profiles get a small trust signal, the ability to keep hours and contact info current, and a direct channel to flag errors. Claims are verified before they go live.
